It is Divine Mercy Sunday or the Second Sunday of Easter.  It is so great to celebrate His Mercy.  Easter is all about God’s infinite mercy.  Our God, Father, Son & Holy Spirit, continues to pour out His love on His people.  What a gift.  We should relish in His love and mercy.  If we are able to receive His mercy shouldn’t we give His mercy to all others that we encounter day in and out?  Too often it seems that we expect to receive His mercy, but we are very picky to whom we give His mercy!!!  God lavishly gives His mercy so shouldn’t we do that with others.  Yes, that means we help our neighbors, we give our money to help those in need, we smile at people and treat all of them with respect (especially those who have different political beliefs than us), and we are quick to forgive.  Mercy that we receive needs to be shared, otherwise we are selfish.  And when we are selfish we are not relishing in the mercy and love we have received from God.  One of the best ways to receive His mercy is by Monthly Confession!!!   It is Divine Mercy Sunday, receive His mercy and give it to others as God has so freely given it to us!!!
