In just over a week our Parish Mission begins.  Have we wanted to grow in our relationship with God?  If so, then it is important that we try to make it to all that we can of the Mission.  The Mission is here to help us.  That is why we have a yearly Mission.  Many parishes don’t have missions this often, but at the Combined parishes we do!  Why?  Because I know that God is calling us to experience the joy of following Him.  He doesn’t want us to be sour people.  He wants us to know His joy.  And I am not talking about something that fads away, but something that last.  His joy is like the Energizer bunny, it keeps going and going.  I know that you get the point.  WE do a lot for our health.  We go to the doctor, we have surgery when we need it, we eat right and diet, we exercise, all for a body that will decay.  But what are we doing for our spiritual health, what are doing for our soul?  The mission here is to help our soul.  Please come and prepare our hearts for an encounter with the Lord.  Come and be prepared to receive something great.  Come with hearts full of expectation.  God has so much more to give us.  He wants to shower His love and mercy down upon us.  That is why we are having this Mission.  Think about it this way, if we don’t want to spend time with God now here on earth, why would we even want to go to Heaven?  Maybe we are just struggling with God or His Church.  Come to the Mission.  God has something to give each and every one of us.  That is what the Mission is for.  I hope and pray that all of you will come to a part of the Mission.  For more information on the Mission look for information provided in this bulletin.  May God bless you all with His peace.
