Summer is about over.  It sure has gone fast.  The school year is fast approaching and with it comes fall and the harvest.  Time sure flies.  I hope that everyone is having a safe and holy summer.  I have a question for us all; during this summer have we been taking the time to grow with God.  Like the plants that are growing, have we been taking the time to be with God.  Are we praying a little more?  Are we taking the time for spiritual reading?  There are so many things that we could be doing to make sure that our spiritual lives are being nourished.  So often when summer comes, we take a break from learning.  And too often that means that we take a break from our relationship with God.  Like our gardens we have planted with seeds, take the time now to plant seeds into our hearts. Take this time because we now have the time.  Not tomorrow, not the next day, but now.  For tomorrow will come and we will say, “I wished I would have done that.”  Then another day will happen and so forth.  Take the time, make the time, don’t put off till tomorrow what you can do today.  I hope we do that so that when the fall of our life comes, we will be harvested by God and ready right away to go to Heaven.  God so desires to have us with Him in Heaven, but we need to be ready.  Summer is a wonderful time to work on our relationship with God.

This next week, as it says in this bulletin, our bulletin ad sales person, Jennifer Bisson, will be here.  I want to THANK all those who already advertise in our bulletin because you help to bring our bulletins to parishioners at no cost to our parishes.  Thank you.  For parishioners who have businesses, please think about advertising and helping the bulletin get to parishioners.

Please also support those advertising in the bulletin and let them know that you are so very thankful for them doing this.  So often they never hear from us about our appreciation of their advertising.  May God bless each and every one of you!
