Preparing for a family wedding and for your parents to move has put a little extra on my plate.  Still, it is, what it is and I would not trade it in.  This coming Friday, September 19, I will be presiding over the wedding of my oldest brother James to Eileen.  May God bless them and help them to have a joy filled marriage.  This is actually the first wedding that I will be doing for any family (this is probably because I am the youngest cousin on one side of the family and the other I am the second youngest).  I am ready for the wedding and I am looking forward to witnessing it.  Because in marriage the couple is actually the minister of the sacrament to each other with their vows.  I will be there to represent the Church because for a wedding to valid for Catholics it must have a witness from the Catholic Church unless the Bishop has given a dispensation from this.  So I will be there to witness the marriage and celebrate the Mass in which the vows will be made.  Please pray for them and for me too.

On Tuesday, September 23 my parents will be moving out of there house of 41 plus years into an apartment five minutes away.  They will be moving what they need and some of what they want.  The house hasn’t sold yet so they have a little time to go through things after they have moved into the apartment.  This will be a good move as it will help my parents out.  My Mom will not have to do stairs and my Dad will not have to shovel snow or mow the lawn any more.  Please pray for them as they make this transition.  Since I  will be at the wedding and helping my parents move, Fr. Pio will be here for the weekend Masses.  I will be gone from Wednesday, September 17 in the afternoon until Wednesday, September 24 late in the evening.
