As you might have noticed, I am not here this weekend. By the time you read this, I should have witnessed my brothers marriage. Remember in the Sacrament of Marriage, the couple, the man and the woman actually administer the Sacrament to each other. But for a marriage to be valid for a Catholic it must be witnessed by a Bishop, Priest, or Deacon, otherwise a Catholic is not considered to be married in the eyes of the Church. So I will be at home in Minneapolis after my brother James has married Eileen. And now it is time to move the folks. Pray for us!!! I will return on Wednesday, September 24 in the evening.
On October 1, OLS elementary, OLS High School and STM High School religion classes begin. Please pray for this. It is such a privilege to be able to help our children grow in their love of God. It is an honor to help them have a relationship with Him. As we have done before, both STM and OLS High School religion classes will begin with a meal at 6:30pm. There is still plenty of space to sign up. At STM there are about 12 people to feed each week and at OLS there are about 10. Please take the time to sign up either by calling Myrna Roosdett for STM or by signing up in the Gathering Space at OLS. What a beautiful way to show our young people that they are loved and that they are important. Do we not have the time to cook a good home cooked meal? Please sign up soon.
