Part 5, Chapter 5
Me, myself and I. We can have too much focus on ourselves. We can have a focus on ourselves that inhibits our loving of God. If we are going to be devout in our faith, it is time to look at our focus on us. This is why St. Francis De Sales has us ask the light of the Holy Spirit to show us where we are too centered on me, myself and I. It is only the Holy Spirit who can show us the truth about ourselves and show us what we need to do to work on it. Thus we are trying to have our focus shifted from ourselves and onto God in this brief examination of ourselves.
