Merry Christmas!!!  Okay, I have finally written it,  because we are now celebrating Christmas.  Christmas goes until the Baptism of the Lord, which is on January 10th this year.  Please keep your decorations up, listen to lots, and lots of Christmas music, eat your Christmas cookies and say Merry Christmas to everyone you meet until then.  Yes, I know that seems a little weird since the fact is that our culture is done with Christmas.  Still, Christmas is not over in the Church.  We should celebrate it.  Right now we are in the Octave of Christmas, which means we celebrate Christmas for eight days; what I mean is that each day is Christmas.  We are also in the 12 days of Christmas which traditionally ended on January 6th with the Epiphany, but now days the Epiphany is celebrated on the second Sunday after Christmas.  This year the Epiphany is on January 3rd.  Today, we also celebrate the Holy Family.  That is the Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph.  There are so many celebrations during this time for the Church.  Enter into them.  Enjoy them and celebrate!

I will be gone right after Mass on December 27th and will return on Wednesday, December 30th in the evening.  I am going to the cities (first time since May).  I am going to go and celebrate Christmas with my family.  So on Tuesday and Wednesday there will be no daily Mass since I am away.  If any emergencies happen during this time, please call the office and leave a message.  Someone will be checking messages while I am away.  God bless you all and may you have a very Merry Christmas Season!!!
