There are so many opportunities each day for us to spread the love of God. Each and everyday there are little moments that come and go where we can just take a moment to tell the Good news of Jesus. This can be as simple as walking down the street and saying hello to people. It is simply holding a door open or being extra nice to the receptionist at the doctors office when the doctor is running behind. Sometimes it may be not returning an insult when we feel justified to do so. It could be just praying for someone who has gossiped about us, or detracted our name. Being a Christian and living the Gospel isn’t easy. Jesus told us to take up our cross and follow him. He also said that if someone strikes you on one cheek, turn and give them the other. There are many opportunities each day to spread the love of God. We never have to look very far because generally they are not huge things that God is calling us to do. Rather as St. Therese of Lisieux did, we are to live God’s love in little ways. We are to do all the little things of each day with great love and affection. May God give us the grace to be loving each and every day, living the Gospel in each and every moment.
