Thank God the national, state and local elections are over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Now we can get down to more important things.  Like watching football without election commercials.  In all seriousness though, I am always happy when election season is done since every election season seems to be starting earlier, and earlier.  I even heard commentators already talking about 2016 elections.   That is two years from now!  There are a lot of things that could happen before that time.  Whether we are happy with the election results or sad, there is one thing we should be doing for our elected officials, and that is praying for them.  Now that doesn’t mean that we pray for bad things to happen to them, or that they have to think exactly like we think.  When we pray for politicians we should be asking that God bless them and keep them and let His face shine down upon them.  Our prayers for those in office should be to ask God that they know how much they are loved by God and that they do His will.  Really, asking God to bless them in this way, is a way that we could be praying for many people.  So we should pray for those serving us in public office

I know one thing, I am excited to say that I am not serving in public office.  It is not an easy task and much of the time they are hearing from people when they have something to complain about.  So we should pray for those serving in office because someday we want to see all people in Heaven including those who we disagree with politically.  We even want to see everyone that has walked the face of the earth experiencing God in His fullness.  What an awesome thing this will be.  So pray, pray, pray everyday that those who serve in elected positions may do so with dignity and love and that they may know how truly they are loved by our Heavenly Father.
