After Mass this weekend, I am leaving town for a week and a half.  I am going to be taking my parents to the Shrines of Wisconsin.  We are going to go to Our Lady of Good Help near Green Bay (this is the only approved Marian Apparition site in the United States), then on to Holy Hill which is just outside of Milwaukee.  Than we will head to Libertyville, IL to Marytown which is the National Shrine for Maximilian Kolbe.  We might go to  St. Philomena Shrine near Wisconsin Dells.  Finally, we will head to Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine in La Crosse Wisconsin.  I am looking forward this pilgrimage with my folks.  It is a pilgrimage so one never knows what will happen.   The following week I am going to spend with my parents resting at my brothers cabin.  During this time I will be praying for you, so please keep me in your prayers!

As always when I am gone there is emergency coverage.  Please leave a message at the office and someone will be checking often to see if help is needed.  I thank Fr. Fred Method, a recently retired priest (his last assignment was St. Joseph in Chisholm and Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in Buhl) for being here to celebrate Mass over Saturday, September 17 and Sunday September 18.   I will be gone from Sunday after Mass on September 11 until Friday evening on September 23.

At OLS, we are in need of religious education teachers both in the afternoon and at night on Wednesdays.  This is a very important task of helping to transmit the faith.  We should be asking the question of the Lord, are you calling me to teach the young people the faith?  Are you wanting me to help parents in their role of preparing the next generation for the Lord?  Please seriously pray about helping teach the faith!!!!!
