I am away this weekend and Fr. Fred Method is here filling in for me.  He is a big lover of the Twins and has just recently retired.  Enjoy the break from me.  I will be back late on Friday, September 23.  If there are any emergencies while I am away, please leave a message, and someone will respond to your needs.

I am going on a Wisconsin Shrine tour, actually a pilgrimage with my Dad and Mom.  Then a little rest and relaxation.  Know that I am praying for y’all.  Please keep me in your prayers.

It is fall and the leaves are beginning to change.  The harvest is coming in, and soon we will have are first frost.  We know that means that Winter is not far away.  We have a lot of preparations to get ready for Winter.  We have to make sure the snow removal equipment is ready, that we have enough fuel to keep us warm and that the furnace is in working order.  There is much preparation to do.

Now if we spent a tenth of the time that we do on preparing for Winter with God, we would be in good shape.  We would be ready to meet our Maker when He calls us home.  It is time to get ourselves prepared because the Winter of our lives is fast approaching.  Time is God’s gift to us and He leads and shows us how to come to know Him.  Now is the perfect time to take more time getting ready for Heaven.  NOW, not tomorrow, next year, or the year after that.  We have the time right now, in this moment, to get ready for the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Time is a wasting, stop reading, and go and pray with the Lord.  He is waiting for you.
