I am still away, in Kenya.  Know of my prayers for all of you.  Please pray for me.  I thank Fr. George Zeck for being there for the Masses this weekend.  I will be returning later this week  on Thursday, September 10.  During this time if there are any emergencies, please leave a message at the office and Carolyn will be checking messages periodically.

The Gospel says, “He makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”  Wow, how awesome is God.  Look at what He does for us.  Jesus is constantly  performing miracles in our midst.  Yes, Jesus is still performing miracles.  Today, and always, Jesus will continue to perform miracles.  Can we see what He did today.  This man who could not speak, except with a speech impediment, nor could he hear.  Can we imagine what that is like?  And today, he is set free by Jesus Christ.  The young man can now speak without an impediment and can hear all that is said.  What a blessing it is to see this miracle.

Miracles still do happen.  I have seen people who have had macular degeneration.  There is no medical treatment for this.  A woman came to a priest for prayers, and the priest was a vessel of healing to this person because Jesus is working through the priest.  So through Jesus this woman’s eyes were healed of a condition that medical doctors cannot fix.  How about the woman who was to have hip surgery and suddenly everything is healed and it can be seen on the x-ray.  Why?  Because Jesus healed this woman also, so that she didn’t have to have surgery.  Miracles happen all the time through Jesus!!!
