It sure has been busy.  Our lives can get hectic.  And we never know what we are going to be doing next.  This summer, I feel like I am on the go, go, go.  I am sure everyone knows what I am saying here.  And yet I know that if I don’t spend a little time with Jesus in quiet prayer each day, I will not make it.  Last weekend, I preached about the need of 10 to 15 minutes of prayer with Jesus each day.  Whether we pray Lectio Divina, Ignatius Contemplation & Meditation, or The Rosary, or Charismatic Prayer, or the Liturgy of the Hours, we all need some sustained time with the Lord each and every day.  Our prayer is like oxygen for the soul.  We need to feed our soul with the goodness of the Lord.  We can’t live without oxygen, nor can we live (truly live) without a relationship with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.  Prayer is God’s gift to us and we sure do need it!
