Divine Mystery

Divine Mystery - Holy Thursday

One main thought for today is the notion of mystery when we speak of theology. By Mystery we mean that it is something that cannot be fully intellectually grasped or exhausted, that there is always more that can be said or learned. This sense of mystery is what we see on the night of the last supper. We can constantly contemplate Jesus's words in all 4 gospels, we can contemplate more fully His actions, we can keep reflecting on the Eucharist and the Priesthood. And as we contemplate all of these our knowledge, understanding, and love can keep growing.

This is the beauty of the Divine Mystery that we celebrate today on Holy Thursday, and every time that we gather for Mass.

May God richly bless you!
